Bluvision and Texas Instruments Lead Beacon Innovation with Full Support for Eddystone™ and iBeacon™ Standards

Bluvision beacons and sensors leverage TI’s SimpleLink™ Bluetooth® Smart solutions to enable the Internet of Things

Today, Bluvision  ( and Texas Instruments (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) announce the availability of Bluvision IoT sensor beacons with support for Eddystone, an open beacon format from Google, Apple’s iBeacon™ technology and an array of onboard sensor data enabling true Internet of Things (IoT) deployments and delivering relevant proximity based mobile content to consumers.

With full support for Eddystone and iBeacon standards, Bluvision’s IoT sensors leverage TI’s SimpleLink Bluetooth® Smart CC2640 wireless microcontroller which gives Bluvision beacons the longest battery life, flexibility to support all major protocols and the ability to connect to multiple sensors.

As the first beacon technology company to fully support all beacon protocols (iBeacon and Eddystone) Bluvision uses CC2640 to connect beacons and sensors to each other and to the cloud in IoT applications such as indoor navigation, micro-location-based services, asset tracking, inventory management, analytics and beyond, driving IoT into the mainstream.
