Giada’s new out-door, fanless AE67-W1 now available



Wide temperature and rich I/O ports for outdoor & semi-outdoor kiosk solutions

While visiting quick-service restaurants, movie theaters, or other busy retailers you can see an increasing number of self-service kiosks, either deployed in indoor or outdoor environments. To better support these kiosks and outdoor smart display applications, Giada, a leading provider of embedded PCs and motherboards, servers and storage appliances, has made great efforts to design a new computing system which combines extended temperature tolerance, high performance and rich I/O ports.

Now, the company is pleased to announce the availability of the new computing platform-AE67-W1. The AE67-W1 is a high-end, fanless PC for 24/7 outdoor use. powered by a 7th generation Intel® Core processor, it is able to deliver smooth content to any of its connected (4K) displays. The AE67-W1 features a modular option design and is capable of operating fanless in both the freezing cold (-20°C/-4°F) and blistering heat (60°C/140°F.) With a large amount of I/O ports (4x RS232, 2x RS485, 4x USB 3.0, and 4x USB 2.0) virtually any device currently used in retail and signage can be operated by the AE67-W1. With a Gigabit Ethernet controller onboard (Intel i219), SIM card slot, optional 3G/4G (Mini-PCIe) or WIFI (M.2 2230) modules, connecting to the cloud or local network is a piece of cake.

Ideal PC for outdoor kiosks

Nowadays, kiosks are a key element in the digital transformation of merchants. Compared to common kiosk machines, the Giada AE67 adopts the design and manufacturing process of industrial PCs and supports wide operating temperatures (-20°C-60°C), and has wider applications, including outdoor and semi-outdoor kiosks.

Besides the wide operating temperature, the AE67, is powered by Intel® Core Kaby Lake processors and supports dual 4K video output (DP and HDMI), and is an ideal choice for high-end kiosks. A PC that enables better computing and high-resolution displays, can help to make a customers shopping and buying experience more enjoyable.

The AE67 has a fanless design and rich I/O ports, including 6 x COM ports, 4 x USB 3.0, and 4 x USB2.0, which support a wide variety of components for kiosks, such as printers and other communication devices.

High-end PC supporting Intel® vPro™

For customers who require remote management and enhanced data security, Giada can provide customized AE67 solutions, which are powered by an Intel® Core i5-7300U which supports the Intel® vPro™ platform. This customized version supports remote control and hardware-enhanced security in environments of standard temperatures (0~60°C). The remote management features can help customers save time and reduce maintenance expenses for the IT department.

The AE67 has a similar appearance to the Giada F302, the Skylake based fanless signage player, but it adopts more powerful processors and supports wider operating temperatures.
