ADLINK’s aTCA-3400 is a 20-port 10GbE AdvancedTCA® multilayer fabric switch blade, based on Broadcom BCM56800 and BCM56312 switch chips with an Intel® Pentium® M 1.4 GHz COM Express™ processor. The aTCA-3400 supports up to thirteen 10 GbE XAUI links for 14-slot PICMG® 3.1 option 9 fabric interconnect and also eight 10 GbE SFP+ egress ports for external access. For base interface switching, the aTCA-3400 provides fifteen GbE ports for a 16-slot system, with six egress GbE ports and one 10 GbE SFP+ uplink port for front panel access. With standard COM Express™ footprint as a control plane processor, the aTCA-3400 can be equipped with a wide range of processing power, from the Intel® Celeron® M to the latest Core™2 Duo processors for a customized system based on application needs.
The aTCA-3400 features:
- 24-port Gigabit Ethernet base interface switch: thirteen Node ports, 1 inter-switch port; six Egress ports plus one 10GbE SFP+ uplink port; two ShMC ports, PICMG® 3.0 R2.0 ECN001; two GbE ports and one 10GbE port to RTM
- 20-port 10Gigabit Ethernet fabric interface switch: twelve Node ports, PICMG® 3.1 option 9; up to eight Egress ports via AMC modules
- Broadcom BCM56800 + BCM56312 multilayer switch
- COM Express™ Intel® Pentium® M 1.4 GHz control plane processor
