The Caspian R1100 Edge Storage Blade (Caspian R1100) is designed to meet Edge Storage requirements for Telco, Media, Surveillance and Military applications. Carrier grade reliability, scalability, performance and power savings are built in to the Caspian R1100. Customers realize Fibre Channel performance in this ATCA blade form factor by leveraging the 10Gb iSCSI, hardware RAID and custom Offload ASIC technology. With performance of up to 70K I/Os per second, 650 MB/sec of throughput, and RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, & 50, the Caspian R1100 provides a foundation for sharable, scalable storage capacity and performance across a range of ATCA chassis configurations. Astute Networks’ TCP/IP and iSCSI offload ASIC enables a combination of performance, low power consumption and virtualization features that are not available in any other ATCA storage solution. The result is a high performing iSCSI storage solution that runs fast, cool and can provide the features and performance required by emerging applications.
