Scan Engineering Telecom is proud to announce that its high-performance SAMC-504 AdvancedMC™ Processor module now have Quad-Core CPU running at 2.2GHz. The SAMC-504, for use in MicroTCA™ (µTCA) platforms, optimizes system slot usage and provides best-in-class performance.

The SAMC-504 enables network and service providers to lower their CapEx and OpEx for a broad set of telecom applications: 3G serving and gateway support nodes, LTE (Long-Term Evolution) mobile management entities and serving gateways, WiMAX gateways and IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) media gateways. The module will also help improve the price/performance ratio of commercial functions in data communication environments beyond telecommunications, such as network-centric military, aerospace and other data processing applications.

The SAMC-504 features one Intel® Core®2 Quad processor based on the Intel® Microarchitecture, up to 4GB DDR2 main memory and up to 128GB integrated SATA SSD (Solid State Drive). The module is available in full-size AMC.0 R2.0 form-factor. SET’s SAMC-504 can be configured with a variety of software operating environments including Red Hat RHEL 5.x, Debian 5.0 Lenny and Microsoft® Windows® Server 2008.
