HUBER+SUHNER Cube Optics to demonstrate 100GBase-LR4 ROSA for QSFP28 Transceivers at ECOC 2015

New product sets the standard for next generation pluggable transceivers in data centers and LANs

The miniature multi-lambda 100G ROSA (receiver optical sub-assembly), designed for CFP4 or QSFP28 transceivers, will be featured by HUBER+SUHNER Cube Optics (CUBO) at the ECOC exhibition this week in Valencia, Spain.

The Cube Optics miniature ROSA sets the standard for next generation pluggable transceivers and is an exciting solution for both data center and client side applications, especially where space and power is at a premium. It yields superior performance in a robust, reliable design, measuring just 18 x 6.5 x 6 mm and with typical power consumption of 330mW.

The ROSA incorporates optical de-multiplexer, integrated four PIN detectors and an array quad Trans-Impedance Amplifier (TIA). It receives parallel optical LAN WDM signals, each propagating at 28.3 Gbps over a single optical fiber. Engineering samples have already been released to customers in Q2/2015, production is now starting in Q4.

The company will also show couplers, switches and PLC components, and its 40G and 100G Base LR4 WDM and LAN-WDM multiplexers for 40G/100G LR4 transceivers.

Other key exhibits include customized OEM modules and an innovative break-out cable solution incorporating a 40G CWDM MUX with two four-channel CWDM multiplexers (mux and demux).
