Organizations: EDAC, GSA, Si2 RedHawk is a power, noise, and reliability analysis platform for SoC designs, including full-chip dynamic power, clock jitter verification, and power/signal EM validation. It accurately analyzes the effects of simultaneous switching noise (core, memory, I/O), decoupling capacitance (intentional and intrinsic), and package parasitics on the chip’s power delivery network. With RedHawk, designers are able to analyze the impact of dynamic voltage drop on timing, explore and identify physical design weaknesses, and automatically repair sources of supply noise. RedHawk provides power analysis and optimization for advanced low power design techniques such as MTCMOS, VTCMOS, and on-chip LDO voltage regulators. With RedHawk, designers can perform ramp-up analysis, full-chip multi-mode verification, and intelligent switch optimization to further improve leakage. RedHawk enables IC-Package co-analysis through the generation of compact SPICE-compatible Chip Power Model (CPM) that accurately represents the behavior of chips power delivery network. CPM can be used by the package / system designers for IC-aware package and board power integrity analysis.
