SiliconXpress is a fabless chip provider, with offices in Santa Clara, CA and Lubbock, TX. We offer one-stop design, fabrication, and test/packaging services for our Mil/Aero and commercial clients. All of our services (except fab and packaging) are done in-house, with all of the resources located within the US. We have a seasoned core team, with over 70 years of combined industry experience.

Communication within the design/implementation team is extremely important to the success of modern development programs. With the work done in the US, there are no issues with 12 hour time differences or language barriers. We also do not have the same issues with the security of your design data that can potentially occur when dealing with off-shore design service organizations. We are extremely competitive on pricing, especially when compared with the off-shore design service providers.

• We are partnered with both commercial and Trusted foundries such as IBM, TSMC, UMC, Honeywell, BAE Systems, and XFAB. We have a strategic partnership with Silicon Turnkey Solutions, which gives us full access to their range of packaging and test services for both Mil/Aero and commercial programs.

• Instead of designing our own IP, we have chosen the route of working with third-party IP suppliers, all specialists in their fields. We are actively engaging IP suppliers on an ongoing basis, so we may already be able to connect you with a source for the IP that you need. If we do not have a source for a particular block, we will work with you to find one. We are partnered with IP providers such as ARM, Synopsys, and Virage Logic to name just a few, and are an authorized SOC Design Center for Tensilica in the US.
• We have built an on-line IP portal that resides behind a firewall. It is a secure and confidential platform, enabling our IP providers and customers to communicate with each other in their own time. This is how it works: Both IP providers and IP customers are screened by SiliconXpress before becoming registered users. Once registered, IP customers can create and submit RFQs directly to as many IP providers as needed. The IP providers have the option to submit on-line proposals. The portal’s functionality enables complete storage of the communication records between the interested entities. Try it, there is no charge for this service.
