Intel to Acquire Movidius
Intel recently announced that it will acquire Movidius to help it realize its RealSense™ vision. As part of Intel’s RealSense™ strategy, it has built and acquired other key technologies in computer vision and perceptual computing. Movidius adds to Intel’s capabilities with low-power, high-performance SoC platforms; deep learning, depth processing, navigation and mapping, and natural interactions algorithms; and expertise in embedded computer vision and machine intelligence.
