ARM TechCon: uniting the design community
Uniting hardware and software engineers in an event that offers an expo, conference and training, ARM® TechCon takes place at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA October 25-27, 2016
This month’s ARM TechCon has an outstanding line-up of keynote speakers, including Raspberry Pi founder, Eben Upton, Red Hat and open source evangelist, Jon Masters; ARM CTO, Mike Muller; ARM CEO, Simon Segars; and Charlie Miller, Senior Security Engineer, Uber Advanced Technologies Center, who highlighted security flaws by hacking vehicle systems.
Alongside the conference, there is a compelling expo area, with theater presentations by ARM partners and ARM executives and includes a journey to the top of Annapurna, with ARM’s Matt Du Puy, discussing how wearables are transforming mountaineering. There will also be a presentation by Sean Kundu, San Francisco 49ers, about how connected technology is changing venues and visitors’ experience, as well as presentations covering SoC for IoT and development of safe, secure, embedded software (Patrick Rogers, Adacore).
The number of ARM training sessions has tripled for 2016. Experts will be on hand to offer best practices and guide attendees through hands-on design experiences over three themed days: Tuesday Oct 25 – Mobile, Wednesday Oct 26 – Hardware, and Thursday Oct 27 – Software.
Each training day can be purchased separately, or upgrading to the ARM TechCon All-Access pass provides access to all three days, the expo and conference.
There are over 70 technical sessions from ARM and ARM ecosystem partners, during the event, covering edge computing, the future of Moore’s Law and healthcare, to name just a few, and demos throughout the exhibit hall.
