If you’re in the visual simulation business, you may be familiar with Physically Based Rendering (PBR). PBR is about using physics-based material and light definitions so a rendering is accurate. Much of this process is created from mathematical modeling for how light interacts with materials in the real world and not from a visual effects artist interpretation. This is only one example of how machine learning is impacting future visual simulations.
