Software Defined Radio Handbook
SDR (Software Defined Radio) has revolutionized electronic systems for a variety of applications including communications, data acquisition and signal processing. This handbook shows how DDCs (Digital Downconverters) and DUCs (Digital Upconverters), the fundamental building blocks of SDR, can replace conventional analog receiver designs, offering significant benefits in performance, density and cost.
Whitepaper on Stride and Prefetch feature in ISA 2.06
POWER stands for Performance Optimization with Enhanced RISC. Power architecture is synonymous with performance. Introduced by IBM in 1991, POWER1 was a superscalar design that implemented register renaming andout-of-order execution.
What is New in the Server Environment of Power ISA v2.06?
The Power ISA evolved out of IBM’s POWER and later PowerPC architectures. The first version of the Power ISA – v2.03, taken largely from PowerPC v2.02 and PowerPC Book E v1.9, was released in 2006.
Cell Processor Technical Specifications
The Cell/B.E.™ resource center is a good starting point for developers looking for information about IBM Cell/B.E. technology-based software.

Whitepaper - What is New in the Server Environment of Power ISA v2.06??Additions and Enhancements to the Power ISA v2.06 extend the advantages of the Power Architecture ranging from
Enabling Interoperability in High-Per formance Embedded Applications - An OpenVPX System Specification Primer
With the advent of high-speed serial fabrics, the VME Parallel Bus proved insufficient for the needs of higherperformance embedded systems. VPX, also known as VITA 46, is the follow-on to the VME Specification for the next generation of high-speed interconnects for harsh environments.
MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition
Communications networks are very different from other kinds of computing applications. Networks require both very high reliability and very high performance. Not only must they process large volumes of data at high speed, but they must do so while limiting their downtime to minutes per year.

System-Level Design discusses where the money has shifted in the semiconductor supply chain with Synopsys, eSilicon, TSMC and Avago.
Intel Atom In-Vehicle Infotainment at CES 2010
At the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, Visteon was showing the latest in-vehicle infotainment technology powered by embedded Intel Atom processor technology, creating an Internet connected experience for people riding inside their automobile.
Robotic Turtle by Colgate University
The following is successful robotic turtle prototype, powered with one-stroke bladeless tesla turbine, .5 HP operating at 3 RPM. The engine drives electric pump, which turns the leg actuaters. Electroactive polymers are used as artificial muslces with actuators. The legs are driven by one actuator, which consists of servovalve, and force sensor. Onboard computing power is PC/104, therefore, programmed with XCF. My uncle, mechanical engineer, took part in this fantastic project.
DesignCon 2010 Video Contest: Another Day In The Life Of an Agilent EEsof EDA Chiphead
Every engineer wants an EDA tool that's easy to use. But can things go too far? Were the Luddites right in thinking technological progress is a zero sum game? Who's software is easiest to use? Does Godel's incompleteness theorem prohibit a do-my-job button, at least in principle? The definitive answers to these and other epistemological questions are certainly not contained in this (hopefully) hilarious sequel to Colin Warwick's DesignCon 2009 video contest entry.
Programming 8051 based Microcontroller P89V664 developmnt board ZKit-51 in Windows Platform
The video shows how to program microcontroller development kit an 8051 based P89V644 controller from Zilogic Systems ZKit-51 under Windows and open source tools like SDCC compiler, Flash Magic tool.
MVL6 Embedded Linux Demo: MVIP Flexibility and Customization
MontaVista Linux 6 Integration Platform demonstration showing embedded Linux developers the flexibility and customization MVIP provides in integrating open source software to deliver embedded devices to market faster.
