Link Research offers high-speed serial data (UART) solutions for the C2000, C5000, as well as the C6000 series of TI development systems. The model LR-F2812COM-x is compatible with the F2812 and F28335 eZdsp development systems, while the model LR-232-x is compatible with many C5000 and C6000 series development systems. All Link Research RS-232 daughtercards sport a 921,600 bps data rate, among the highest in the industry. The model LR-232-x series can be ordered with either 2 or 4 independent RS-232 ports. It can also be ordered as “stackable” or “non-stackable”. The stackable version includes two additional Samtec connectors soldered onto the top of the board, allowing other daughtercards to be added to the system.

The model LR-F2812COM-x is available in three configurations – two RS-232 ports, two fiber optic ports or as an RS-232-to-fiber converter. When used with the F28335 eZdsp, our board provides two, higher speed serial ports compared with the single serial port included on the eZdsp board.

The daughtercards ship with everything needed to get up and running fast including an extra set of connectors to be soldered into the eZdsp board (model LR-F2812COM-x only), a 6-foot RS-232 M/F cable, and a CD with a software API, and documentation.
