Trace32-PowerView is the universal user interface for all microprocessor development tools from Lauterbach. It offers intuitive and fast access to the debugger and the trace information, and a large number of functions for the analysis of the system performance and for assuring the quality of embedded designs.

The TRACE32-PowerView user interface is designed as an open system in order to permit every designer to configure their development environment as they wish. This means, for example, that any host platform can be used for development. The integrated HLL debugger supports all standard programming languages from most compiler vendors. To reduce the compile to download time, the debugger loads all the industry standard file formats in record time.

Symbolic debugging of complex multitask applications and a detailed analysis of the real time behaviour is possible for all standard RTOS. All modern memory management techniques are likewise supported. TRACE32-PowerView also has an open interface to third party debuggers as well as editors.

The debugger allows assembler and HLL debugging on C/++ level also for optimized code. An unlimited number of software breakpoints are available and advanced breakpoint features make it simple to break on complex conditions. TRACE32 also supports multi-core debugging when e.g. a DSP is combined with other cores (e.g. ARM® in OMAP devices).
