TMS320DM365 Platform Is Now Available

STAFFORD,  TX. (January 29, 2010) –Spectrum Digital, Inc., the leading provider of development tools for Texas Instruments (TI) Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), announces the availability of  a digital video development platform for TI’s ARM9 based TMS320DM365 processor. This new platform, the DM365 Evaluation Module (EVM), provides customers with tool to quickly develop digital video applications (security, process control work flow, packaging, quality assurance, etc.).

The DM365 EVM gives the user access to the TMS320DM365 device with a 300 MHz. ARM926EJ-S processor. The board has interfaces for S-video or Composite input, Composite video output, USB2, Ethernet, RS-232, Dual Media Cards, IR Remote Control, and a TLV320AIC3101 (mic in, headphone out, line in, line out) stereo codec. Software developers have access to 128 Mbytes of DDR2 DRAM and the component video in/out supports 720P resolution. For ease of debug, the board comes with both a TI 14 pin and ARM 20 pin JTAG emulation headers. The DM365 DVEVM includes:

• An evaluation board with the TMS320DM365 device
• Demo version of Montavista Linux Pro 5.0
• User documentation (DVEVM Setup and Getting Started Guide, EVM Technical Reference)
• Cables (Ethernet and RS-232)
• Universal IR Remote Control
• Power supply with 3 line cords
