JTAGjet Supports the new Cortex-A8 based Sitara Family
Signum Systems’ JTAGjet-OMAP3 In-Circuit Debugger now supports the new ARM Cortex-A8 based AM3505 and AM3517 microprocessors. The AM3505 and AM3517 microprocessors provide a combination of industrial temperature options, CAN controller, USB PHY, 3.3V I/O and multiple package options, making it possible for developers to create products that can endure even rugged industrial environments. JTAGjet-OMAP3 comes with Chameleon Debugger for ARM and Cortex which supports debugging boot loaders (UBL, UBOOT), Linux kernels, drivers and kernel modules. The debug tool is also compatible with TI Code Composer Studio IDE and compile tools, as well as all other major C/C++ compilers and debuggers. To speed-up the debugging process, customers may order the optional ETM or ETB real-time trace display, which controls the on-chip debug resources that store in real-time the program execution path and selected variables. An application note describing the Linux debugging process is available from Signum Systems.
