Imagination Technologies and Express Logic announce expansion of ThreadX RTOS support for MIPS CPUs



ThreadX RTOS from Express Logic now available for MIPS 64-bit I6400 CPU

Imagination Technologies (IMG.L) and Express Logic announce expanded support of Express Logic’s industrial grade ThreadX® RTOS (real time operating system) for Imagination’s MIPS CPUs, with the addition of the multi-threaded MIPS I-class I6400 processor core. This development extends ThreadX support of multiple generations of MIPS CPUs which range from deeply embedded M-class cores to high-performance I-class applications processors.

ThreadX is Express Logic’s advanced RTOS is designed specifically for deeply embedded, real-time, and IoT applications, and has more than 5.4 billion deployments to-date. With an advanced feature set and highly scalable performance, 64-bit MIPS I6400 CPUs are seeing adoption across a broad set of applications including digital home, automotive, AI, real-time embedded and networking equipment. For these applications, the combination of the I6400 with ThreadX provides developers with a small footprint, scalable and highly efficient solution.
