The IBASE ASB200-909 fanless system

Moving from the traditional PLC based automation platform to an X86 based system allows one to tap into extensive and proven array of solutions. The X86 platform opens up the opportunity to utilize Window’s or Linux based applications, while benefiting from the wealth of PC based networking, storage, and display solutions. Contrary to entrenched perceptions, it is now possible to enjoy the aforementioned benefits while adhering to a fanless design with no moving parts.

IB909 3.5” Embedded Motherboard with an onboard 5th Generation Intel® Core™ i U-series 15W Processor allows the IB909 to maintain the lower operating core temperature suitable for use in a harsh environment while delivering complete compute prowess. This motherboard has many additional features that increase reliability and functionality. The IB909 has 2 memory slots able to accommodate a maximum of 16GB RAM, a M-SATA connector for onboard SSD storage, and 2 Mini-PCIe to provide a wide range of expansion flexibility. The IB909 also has dual Intel GbE NIC connections allowing simultaneous connections to both Ethernet and Ethercat networks. The board also has the ability to directly drive a LCD using the LVDS Display interface.

The IBASE ASB200-909 is a fanless system whose compact size (180mm (W) x 150mm (D) x 66mm (H)) is conducive to most embedded applications. The wide operating temperature range of -10C to +60C (ambient) temperature with no airflow is suitable for harsh environments. This system maybe powered by 12 ~ 24VDC input via a terminal block connector. An external C-Fast storage connector, three RS232 and 1 also being RS485/422/232 serial port are available, along with DVI-I for both digital and analog display outputs. The system is fully CE, FCC (B), LVD, & CCC certified and ready for immediate deployments.

While the IB909 is a solid fit for customers that need the raw compute power of the Intel Core i7/i5 processor (s), we also have the cost and power efficient IB897 3.5-inch disk-size single board computer. This board uses the latest generation of Intel® Atom™ processors (formerly known as “Baytrail”) which integrates four 22nm processor cores @ 1.91GHz clock speed and a 2MB L2 cache with an amicable 10W power consumption. The board delivers much higher level of processing and graphics performance than previous generation Atom SBCs, with minimal power consumption. The IB897 has 2 versions of the board, a dual core Atom (IB897-I27) and a quad core Atom (IB897-I45). Both of these motherboards have similar features as the IB909. For applications requiring even lower power consumption and heat output the IB897 is also available with a dual core ES827 processor.

Like the ASB200-909 the CSB200-897 utilizes a compact fanless system architecture to house the IB897 motherboard. These systems are a small sample of the intelligently designed, superior quality and high functionality motherboards and systems IBASE provides.
