Icron Delivers Uncompressed 1080p Remote PC functionality for
Consumer, Medical, and Industrial Markets

Burnaby, British Columbia, January 7, 2010 – Icron Technologies (TSX Venture: IT), leading providers of USB extension solutions, announced the successful integration of its patented ExtremeUSB® technology with Valens’ HDBaseT™ technology for adding remote USB functionality to the HDBaseT whole-home uncompressed 1080p video distribution platform.

Valens’ HDBaseT technology enables long-reach wired connectivity of PC content and applications via a single LAN cable, including uncompressed HD video, audio, Internet, power and controls over low-cost Cat 5 cabling up to distances of 100m/328ft. Icron’s ExtremeUSB adds remote USB capability to the HDBaseT system, allowing PC’s to be remotely connected to other rooms in an enterprise or home.  The Remote Stations would support mouse, keyboard, touch screen, flash drive, webcam and other USB peripheral I/O devices. The combination of the two leading technologies enables interactive long distance PC connectivity via low cost cables for consumer, medical, and industrial markets.
