BURNABY, British Columbia – November 7 2010 – Icron Technologies (TSX Venture: IT), leading providers of high performance video and USB extension solutions, has begun shipping its ExtremeLinkTM 4500 KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extender in North America, Europe and Asia.  The ExtremeLinkTM 4500 is targeted for medical imaging and diagnostic markets where the patient care area is isolated from the computing equipment.

The ExtremeLinkTM KVM Extender uses a LAN or dedicated Cat 5 cables to connect medical professionals to computers in remote locations resulting in easier maintenance and configuration, increased security, and reduced space, heat and noise in the patient care area. The ExtremeLinkTM 4500 offers full PC computing power including 1680×1050 (WSXGA) high definition video, stereo audio, and USB 2.0 support with all the benefits of having a remote PC. The ExtremeLinkTM 4500 delivers a full 480Mbps USB 2.0 channel that supports all USB device types including keyboard, mouse, flash drive, touchscreen, and game controllers. The ExtremeLinkTM also supports Isochronous USB devices such as USB webcams, speakers, and microphones.
