LEAD Technologies Updates PACS SDK to Add New CCOW and PACS Development Framework

LEAD Technologies announces a major update to the LEADTOOLS PACS Imaging developer toolkit. The update includes a new PACS Workstation Framework and an all new Clinical Context Object Workgroup (CCOW) interface.

LEAD has significantly increased the value and functionality of the LEADTOOLS PACS Imaging developer toolkit by adding the LEADTOOLS PACS Workstation Framework. The LEADTOOLS PACS Workstation Framework is a set of high-level .NET PACS components for developing a complete PACS Workstation system. Components include fully customizable user-interface controls, add-ins for implementing DICOM services such as C-Find, C-Move, C-Store, Storage Commit, and logging, a database access layer to easily connect to almost any database provider, and a powerful medical viewer control. The LEADTOOLS PACS Workstation Framework also includes the LEADTOOLS Medical Workstation Viewer application with source code. The LEADTOOLS Medical Workstation Viewer is an end-user application with functionality comparable to many DICOM viewers used in the health care industry today. The LEADTOOLS Medical Workstation Viewer can be used virtually “out of the box” or can easily be customized for branding and to meet the specific needs of an organization.

The new Clinical Context Object Workgroup (CCOW) functionality encapsulates the HL7 Context Management Standard. With the addition of the CCOW interface to the LEADTOOLS PACS Imaging developer toolkit, developers are able to link and synchronize independent applications in real time, based on a subject of interest.

The LEADTOOLS PACS Imaging developer toolkit includes everything developers need to create medical imaging and PACS solutions without requiring lower layer DICOM messaging knowledge. LEADTOOLS PACS Imaging provides full support for DICOM messaging to quickly implement any DICOM service class user (SCU) or service class provider (SCP) service and includes extensive sample desktop and web applications with source code.
