16 Channel FPGA-based PCIe Mini from Alphi Technology



Monitor/Control 16 RS-422/485 devices – no transition module needed

TEMPE, Arizona, December 12, 2018 – Alphi Technology Corporation announces its PCIe‑Mini‑DIO16/32 16 channel RS-422/485 device controller.  This small form factor (30mm x 50.95mm) PCI Express board is based on the Altera Cyclone® IV FPGA, which gives it the advantage of complete configurability to monitor or control up to 16 differential devices or up to 32 LVTTL channels, selectable in groups of two.  Each channel can be used as an input or output.  Input channels can be individually configured to generate interrupts to detect change of state or voltage level.  The input threshold includes hysteresis for increased noise immunity.  RS‑485 outputs can operate up to 20Mbps.

A significant benefit of the PCIe‑Mini‑DIO16/32 is that it is completely self-contained.  It does not require an external transition module, which saves space and reduces system cost and complexity.

Operating temperature is -40ºC to +85ºC.  Available software packages are C library dll’s, and drivers for Linux®, Windows® and VxWorks®.
