With the release of Power ISA v.2.06 many new features are added to the architecture to further improve the performance of the architecture. One such feature which is added in Power ISA v.2.06 to improve application performance is Stride N prefetch. Software prefetching is a promising techniques for addressing the processor-memory performance gap.
