Python EBX SBC

The fanless, EBX-based Python single board computer (SBC) features a highly reliable design, no moving parts, low power draw (less than 5W), and a robust complement of on-board I/O. The Python is ideal for aerospace, homeland security, medical, and industrial applications due to its fanless operation and rugged design.

The Python uses the AMD® energy-saving LX 800 processor, which consumes very little power and is among the highest performance per watt CPUs available in the market today. Standard on-board features for the Python include support for up to 1 GB of socketed DDR RAM, four COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, dual 10/100 Ethernet, IDE, LPT, Digital I/O, Analog input and audio.

The board includes integrated high performance video with analog and LVDS flat-panel support for video-intensive applications. System expansion is supported by the PC/104-Plus interface (for ISA and PCI add-on modules), and VersaLogic’s new SPX™ interface for simplified I/O expansion.

The RoHS-compliant Python is compatible with a variety of embedded operating systems, including Windows CE/XP/XPe, QNX, VxWorks and Linux. As with all VersaLogic SBCs, available customizations include conformal coating, customized BIOS, revision locks, custom labeling, RTV and wire wrap for shock and vibration protection, and many other options.
