Mercury Systems Receives $12.5M Order for Ground-Based Electronic Surveillance

SWaP-Optimized Subsystem Enables High-Performance in a Mobile Platform

ANDOVER, Mass.  Jan. 18, 2018  Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com) announced it received a $12.5 million order from a leading defense prime contractor for a ground-based electronic surveillance subsystem. The order was booked in the Company’s fiscal 2018 third quarter.

The Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) solution is based on Mercury’s conduction-cooled ROCK-2 OpenVPX subsystem deployed in both fixed and mobile ground-based applications. Using both Intel-based CPUs and FPGA processing, the ROCK-2 subsystem maximizes performance while minimizing size, weight, and power (SWaP). The system will enable warfighters to discover wireless communications in their area of engagement, locate and, where appropriate, disrupt them.

“The Mercury solution provides leading performance while minimizing overall program risk and cost,” said Ike Song, General Manager of the Mercury Mission Systems product line. “The pre-integrated ROCK-2 subsystem reduces development risk and integration cost, and the extended availability of the subsystem mitigates lifecycle risks.”
