Innovasic Semiconductor® to Provide Replacement IC for the Intel® 386EX Product



ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in replacement
integrated circuit (IC) and microcontroller solutions, today announced that they are going
to provide a replacement IC for Intel’s 386EX microcontroller.

“In our discussion with customers, we have found that there still is a high demand for
the 386,” said Datar Lalvani, VP of Marketing for Innovasic Semiconductor. “We are
currently providing 100% compatible solutions for the 186 class of microcontrollers and
view this as a logical extension to our x86 family of products.”

The 386EX will be offered in RoHS compliant 132-pin PQFP and 144-pin TQFP packages.
This device will be 100 percent form, fit and function compatible with the original Intel
product. Samples will be available in Q4, 2008.
