TRACE32-PowerView is the user interface used by all the microprocessor development tools from Lauterbach. It offers intuitive and fast access to the debugger and the trace information, and a large number of functions are available to analyse the system performance and to help you assure the quality of your embedded designs.

The TRACE32-PowerView user interface has been developed as an open system in order to allow every designer to configure their development environment to meet their specific needs. To support the development of Windows Embedded best, PowerView runs on all Windows based host systems. The integrated HLL debugger supports all programming languages used for building Windows CE targets, especially Visual C and C++. To help reduce the compile to download time the debugger loads all the file formats built by the Windows CE Platform Builder in class leading speed.

Symbolic debugging of complex multi-process applications and a detailed analysis of the real time behaviour is possible for Windows CE systems. A feature-rich “Windows CE Awareness” gives you special windows and tools to display and examine the internals of the OS. The complete memory management techniques of CE are also supported. Given this, you’re able to debug device drivers, DLL’s and several processes – all at once. TRACE32-PowerView provides you with an open interface to third party debuggers and editors. It also supports complex embedded designs without any restrictions. Examples include: multiprocessor systems, multi-core applications and the debugging of sub-processors or co-processors.
