ORBexpress implements the Real-time CORBA standard, providing Distributed Priority Inheritance™ and propagation essential for end-to-end predictability. ORBexpress helps bound or avoid distributed priority inversions. Priority banded connections also allow developers to trade off network resource usage against network-based priority inversion.

ORBexpress is flexible. In addition to TCP, ORBexpress allows developers to plug in their own transports such as native ATM, 1394, IP Multicast, VME/PCI bus, shared memory or even a proprietary bus or network. Developers have the flexibility to write the transports needed to connect heterogeneous, distributed, embedded systems.

Available for C++, Ada and Java, ORBexpress supports both hard and soft real-time embedded systems. Since 1997, projects in multiple domains have successfully used ORBexpress for their high performance communications needs.
