Aonix has developed PERC technologies for three complementary application requirements: larger, complex embedded applications; resource restricted hard real-time applications with tight timing and memory requirements; and certifiable safety-critical applications.

PERC Ultra is typically used for applications that need to use the rich features of Standard Edition Java libraries, coupled with predictable performance. PERC is a mature and proven product, not an experimental system – it has been field tested in more applications than any other realtime virtual machine system.

PERC Pico is the Aonix solution specifically designed for applications with demanding requirements for “C comparable” performance characteristics such as small footprint, fast execution, and low level device access. Only PERC provides these capabilities while also offering interoperability with Java Standard Edition functionality. PERC Pico technology also can be configured for safety certification requirements, even to the highest levels of criticality.
