Today there are over 5 billion intelligent, connected devices and IDC is predicting that number will rise to 15 billion by 2015. Our reliance on embedded devices is growing; and at the same time cyber-attacks targeting these devices are on the rise. Firewalls are a simple and effective tool for protecting against Internet-based threats, yet most embedded devices do not have a firewall.
